Weekly Product List

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

Summer keeps bringing a bountiful variety of fresh foods grown by your local farmers, and it’s time to make your selections and place your order for this week’s market.

NEW this week—
Delicious sweet corn from Beyond Organics and beautiful mixed cherry tomatoes from Green Fork Farm. Get these while you can!

More vegetables this week—
So good and fresh—yellow squash, cucumbers, potatoes, green beans, green peppers, sweet banana peppers, jalapenos, and serranos.

Mushrooms—
Delectable, fresh Shiitake mushrooms, dried Shiitakes, and Shiitake powder. These are great with everything.

Herbs—
Fresh herbs make all the difference in cooking. We have Italian basil, Thai basil, parsley, sage, chives, lovage, and a mixed bunch that includes basil, oregano, rosemary, sage, parsley, and fennel. If you don’t use them all fresh by the end of the week, turn the bunch upside down and hang to dry, then use at your leisure.

Fruit—
Plentygood Farm has a couple of boxes of apples left, but they won’t last long.

Eggs—
We have both chicken and duck eggs raised on pasture. They’re the best!

Meat—
We still have one of the best selections of meat in town. Lots of different cuts of lamb, pork, chicken, beef, and duck. Don’t forget we have specialty meats too that are very flavorful and great for making broth and soup stock—chicken necks, hearts, livers and feet, as well as lamb bones for soup stock or dog bones. We also have pet food made from ground chicken backs—what a treat for your favorite house pet.

Olives and Olive Oil—
Direct from the grower in California. These olives are organic and brine cured, and the olive oil is from cold-pressed, organic olives. You won’t believe how amazing it is!

Prepared Foods—
We have delicious chocolate chip cookies made to order for you, with either a combination of oat and wheat flour, or all oat flour. You will also love our lacto-fermented sauerkraut and jalapeno slices—excellent for gut health. We also have salsa made from local ingredients grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Place your order from now until Tuesday at noon. You can also stop by the market on Wednesday to shop. For the best selection, make sure you do both!

Thanks so much,
