Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers:

Here’s what’s available at the market this week:

Vegetables—Celery, eggplant, tomatoes, tomatillos, okra, many varieties of sweet and hot peppers, beans, potatoes, cucumbers, onions, and squash.

Eggs—From pastured hens.

Olives and Olive Oil—Direct from the organic grower in California.

Fermented foods—jalapenos.

Salsa—Made with locally grown and organic ingredients.

Live plants—Fig trees.

Crafts—Natural, handmade soy candles scented with pure essential oils (no toxic chemicals!)

Place your order now, then pick up and pay on Wednesday from 4-6 pm at Nightbird Books in Fayetteville.

We will also have a selection of locally grown and handmade goods available for sale from the table at the market on Wednesday.

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers:

We’re offering Dig In! Food and Farming classes at the Roots Festival again this year! It’s next weekend on August 25, 26, and 27 in the afternoons. See the schedule on the Roots Festival website at https://therootsfest.org/full-schedule/. Classes include backyard gardening and organic pest control, vermicomposting with worms, cooking with seasonal vegetables, growing fig trees in northwest Arkansas, and medicinal herbs. Some of our very own farmers from Green Fork Farmers Market will be presenting! All classes are free and open to the public, so please join us in the Walker Community Room at the Fayetteville Public Library next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons to learn more about these super fun topics.
