Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

It’s time to order for this week’s market!

We are excited to announce another new producer joining us this week. Blue Pony Bakery brings us delicious breads, muffins, and cookies, available for preorder on our website and for sale from the table at the market. Their chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had. Just sayin’.

You will also find a new treat from Figgieville this week, their winter Kolache pastry filled with apples and walnuts. Can’t go wrong here, one of my favs! Beyond Organics Farm has beets this week, and Summer Kitchen Family Farm is now offering chicken in a variety of cuts—breasts, chicken tenders, wings, thighs, and drumsticks.

We still have whole chickens too, as well as a variety of pork and beef cuts, eggs, honey, herbs, winter vegetables, greens, bunching onions, hoop house cucumbers and tomatoes, bath and beauty products, granola, and popsicles. We have so much to offer, we really hope you will place an order for pickup at the market, or come by and visit us to see what we have for sale on our farmers’ tables. We’ll be in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Let your friends and family know about us, and we’ll see you all there!

This week at Green Fork Farmers Market, we have a great variety of products available for preorder and for sale off the table at the market—vegetables, herbs, eggs, beef, pork, chicken, honey, baked goods, olives, plants, and herbal bath and beauty products.

Place your order online by Monday at midnight, and pick up at the market on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books, or come on in and check out what our farmers have for sale on their tables.

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market customers,

We will have a market this Wednesday before Thanksgiving so you can get your naturally grown holiday meal ingredients fresh from your local farmers! We have so many great items to make your meals special. Surprise everyone with a large chicken instead of a turkey, and a green salad with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers (grown in hoop houses locally!), microgreens, red onions, and gourmet olives atop lettuce, mesclun mix, spinach, or arugula. For other lovely side dishes, consider brussels sprouts, turnips, mustard greens, collards, baby bok choi, kale, turnip greens, swiss chard, and savory hot pepper scones. We have fresh sage to flavor your chicken, turkey, dressing, and many other dishes. We know you will need chicken or duck eggs for baking, sausage to go in your dressing, and pork neckbones, fatback, or bacon to cook with your greens. For dessert, you must try our new sweet squash tartes and hazelnut macaroons, or our coconut almond torte or fruit popsicles. Honey makes a wonderful gift for your dinner hosts, friends, and family, and we have it in all shapes and sizes—samplers, honey bears, half pints, pints, quarts and half gallons. We also have handmade soap, sugar scrub, lip balm, skin toner, and for sale at the market only—greeting cards, notepads, gift card holders, gift tags, and holiday planners.

You can preorder as usual until Monday at midnight and pick up in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. A few of our farmers will also be at the market and have things available for sale from the table:

Green Fork Farm: Chicken, beef, pork, eggs, fresh sage, microgreens, and handmade greeting cards and gifts.

NWA Natural Produce: Tomatoes, green tomatoes, cucumbers, brussels sprouts, mustard greens, collards, red bunching onions, and cilantro.

Crosses Creek Farm: Honey, honey with comb, and beeswax.

Figgieville: Gourmet olives and—New items!— hazelnut macaroons and sweet squash tartes.

Exciting news! We are happy to announce a new vendor joining us this week—NWA Natural Produce. Vicky and Paul grow vegetables in Lincoln year-round outdoors and in hoop houses. You won’t believe what they have in store for us this week: tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, brussels sprouts, green tomatoes, mustard greens, collards, and possibly green beans. These items won’t be available for preorder this week, but they will have them on their table, so please stop by and take a look on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books.

As the cold weather approaches, we want to remind you that Green Fork Farmers Market will continue to bring you naturally grown and handmade products throughout the winter at our indoor location in the breezeway behind Nightbird Books on Dickson Street. You can order online to reserve your products and pick up at the market, or just stop in and buy directly from the farmers on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.

It’s time to place your order for this Wednesday’s market. New this week are Baby Bok Choi and Spinach from Beyond Organics Farm, as well as hot and spicy Sevillano Olives from Figgieville. These olives are so good, brined in a delicious blend of hot peppers, garlic, and ginger.

Check out the order list below for additional greens, turnips, sweet potatoes, honey, baked goods, herbal soap and beauty products, popsicles, eggs, beef, chicken, and pork. You can follow the link to the website and click the cart next to each item you wish to order. When your cart is full, go to the checkout, scroll down to the bottom, and click on place your order. It’s quick and easy, and your products will be waiting for you when you arrive at the market on Wednesday between 4 and 7 pm.
