ON SALE this week—Crosses Creek Farm has quarts of honey on sale for a limited time at $15.00 each! They won’t last long, so get them while you can.

NEW this week—Beyond Organics Farm has 2 different kinds of kale available. Dinosaur Kale (also called Lacinato kale or Black kale) is popular in Italian cuisine and has a mild, sweet flavor. Red Russian Kale, also known as Ragged Jack, is a beautiful gray kale with ragged purple edges and is delicious! You can’t go wrong with either of these.

Figgieville also has heirloom cherry tomato plants from seeds they have saved in their garden in Fayetteville. THAT’S LOCAL!

This week we also have available through the market—locally roasted coffee; olive oil and brined olives directly from the grower in California; handmade herbal soap and body care products; natural fruit popsicles; local well-raised eggs, lamb, chicken, beef, and pork; local and naturally grown green onions, lettuce, mustard greens, bok choy, microgreens, arugula, radishes, spinach, and this is probably the last week for asparagus. And there’s still time to plant seeds and tomato plants, or start your new beehive, all available at Green Fork Farmers Market.

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

This week Figgieville has a new crop of cold pressed olive oil and brined olives not cured with lye, directly from the grower in California. They also have Japanese cucumber plants that grow 10" long cucumbers, as well as a special on fig plants. There’s still time to plant these, as well as tomato plants and vegetable seeds that are available from our farmers this week.

Asparagus continues this week, but it has a very short season, so get it while you can.

We also have lots of other vegetables, plus microgreens, herbs, honey, beeswax, bee hives, eggs, lamb, chicken, pork, beef, popsicles, handcrafted herbal soap and other body care products, and locally roasted coffee—yum!

NEW this week: Beyond Organics has delicious and nutritious mustard greens, and Green Fork Farm is offering bok choi.

We still have a great selection of other spring vegetables too—lettuce, arugula, radishes, spinach, Swiss chard, green onions, and microgreens. Fresh sage or mint make great accompaniments for vegetables, or for our well-raised pork, chicken, lamb, beef, or eggs. We also have natural, handmade popsicles, locally roasted coffee, direct trade organic olives and olive oil, and local allergy-busting honey. Try our natural herbal body oil, deodorant, facial elixir, lip balm, soap, and sugar scrub. And for the farm and garden, we have seeds, tomato plants, and fig plants, as well as baby chicks for sale and rent, and a class on how to raise baby chicks and ducklings.

We keep rolling into spring with NEW products each week! This week Beyond Organics is adding arugula, romaine lettuce, red romaine lettuce, and radishes to their offerings. Also, check out Figgieville’s half price olive sale on all varieties! And next week they will have a new shipment of delicious olive oil.

This week there are a bunch of ways to celebrate spring with baby chicks and ducklings. Green Fork Farm has baby chicks for sale, and if you want to learn more about how to raise them, they are also offering an on-farm class on raising baby chicks and ducklings. And if you still aren’t sure you are ready to start your own flock, you can rent a pair of baby chicks to get some experience or just for fun!

Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is next weekend. We have lots of goodies that would make great gifts—fill a basket with vegetable seeds, tomato plants, or fig trees ready for the garden, and amazing herbal soap and body care products. Or if mom is a beekeeper, what about a bee hive? Well-raised, local food is also a great gift for mom. Choose from a beautiful selection of fresh vegetables, herbs, microgreens, eggs, honey, chicken, pork, beef, lamb, handmade popsicles, organic olives, and locally roasted coffee. NEW this week—Crosses Creek Farm is offering handmade 5-frame nuc bee hives. These are perfect for starting your own colony, splitting hives, or capturing swarms. All you need to add is frames and bees!

Green Fork Farm also has green onions this week grown by 9 year old Samuel—they are beautiful and delicious!

We have a wide variety of other locally grown and handmade products to choose from as well, including honey, beeswax, herbal soap and body care products, greens, eggs, coffee, olives, lamb, chicken, pork, beef, dog bones, microgreens, baked goods, and baby chick rentals. It’s also time to get a bunch of stuff in the ground over the next couple of weeks, so don’t forget about seeds and tomato starts for your garden or for gifts that keep on giving!

Don’t forget to place your order for this Wednesday’s market! Normally online ordering will be available until Monday at midnight, but we’re a little late getting the order list out this week, so we’ll leave the market open until Thursday at noon to give you a little extra time this week.

NEW! Beyond Organics farm is offering beautiful tomato plants grown in their greenhouse from organic seeds in organic growing medium. There are several delicious varieties to choose from. Get a few of these along with a fig tree and some vegetable seeds offered again this week, and you’re ready to get your garden started off right!

Green Fork farm has a couple of fresh cut herb selections available this week. Try mint with some lamb from Black Sheep Ranch, or sage with chicken or pork, add greens and handmade artisan bread, then freshly baked cookies and locally roasted coffee for dessert—and there you have a scrumptious, local, naturally produced meal, all from Green Fork Farmers Market. You will also find many other wonderful items available, including honey, eggs, herbal soaps and body care products, organic olives, and microgreens.

NEW this week! It’s spring, and Figgieville is offering Fig trees so you can harvest delicious figs from your own backyard! Don’t forget we also have seeds available for planting your backyard vegetable garden. From Clear Creek Seeds near Tahlequah, they are non-GMO, untreated, and open pollinated. If you are shopping ahead, a fig tree or bundle of seed packets would make a great Mother’s Day gift! We also have other great gift ideas, such as herbal soap, salve, lip balm, sugar scrub, body oil, and facial elixir.
