Weekly Product List

This post expired on September 01, 2023.

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

New this week—Serrano peppers from Green Fork Farm. They are also bringing back mixed zucchini and golden scallop squash this week.

More veggies—Green beans, cucumbers, acorn squash, jalapeno, sweet Italian, and green bell peppers are all available again this week.

Fresh herbs—Mint and basil are great summer additions to meat, poultry, vegetables, and drinks. It’s a perfect time to get a bunch of basil and make your own pesto while it’s abundant and at the peak of its flavor. If you want to save time, don’t forget we also have ready-made pesto from Foundation Farm. Made from their organic basil and other high quality ingredients, it’s delicious. It’s frozen so you can buy it ahead and pull it out when you need it for a quick appetizer or meal.

Olives—Get some of these from Figgieville for your game-day snacks, entertaining, or additions to your favorite dishes. They offer these through a direct relationship with the farm in California where they are organically grown and naturally cured without lye, and they are tasty!

Coffee—Onyx Coffee Lab has a selection of sustainably grown, locally roasted direct trade coffee available for preorder. You can also visit them at their new coffee bar on Gregg St. in Fayetteville. They have tastings on Saturday mornings, and they love to share their coffee passion!

Honey—We have the best local honey in our area from Crosses Creek Farm and Chicken Moon Farm. Many people say that local honey helps with allergies, and it’s the fall season for that, so stock up. Crosses Creek also offers natural beeswax from their hives.

Meat and Poultry—Don’t forget that BlackSheep Ranch has a new batch of lamb with all of your favorite selections available. Chicken Moon Farm and Green Fork Farm have flavorful, pasture raised chicken and pork, and Green Fork Farm has beef and duck grown on pasture and certified organic grains.

Eggs—From absolutely free-range hens foraging on grass, seeds and bugs at Beyond Organics Farm and Green Fork Farm, you won’t find eggs that taste any better.

If you want to grow your own, you can order young chickens to raise for laying hens. They have been raised on pasture and certified organic grains and are now ready for your pasture. We also have vegetable seeds for your garden, from Clear Creek Seeds in Tahlequah.

Herbal bath and body care—Dandelion Peace Flower Botanicals offers a line of products handmade from natural, high quality ingredients, including soap, body oil, deodorant, facial elixir, and sugar scrub. Come by the market this week to find out more about their fantastic goodies.

With so much to choose from, we hope you will go ahead and place your order. But just in case you aren’t able to order during this holiday weekend, we will have the online market open for extended hours on Tuesday morning until noon.

We’ll see you when you pick up on Wednesday in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books from 4-7 pm.

Thanks so much,

Green Fork Farmers Market
