Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

Time to place your order for Green Fork Farmers Market this week! Choose from cucumbers, squash, green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, green tomatoes, onions, basil, mint, honey, beeswax, lamb, pork, chicken, beef, artisan olives and olive oil, locally roasted coffee, herbal bath and body care products, and vegetable seeds.

Also, back again this week—baby chicks for sale or rent! Check out the new breeds available.

Cheese isn’t yet available for preorder, but look for White River Creamery at the market with their delicious artisan goat and cow cheese selections.

Double Your Dollars! We are happy to announce that we received funding to match SNAP benefits and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers at Green Fork Farmers Market! The funding is from the Northwest Arkansas Farmers Market Alliance, through a grant from the Walmart Foundation. For every dollar in SNAP and SFMNP vouchers you spend at Green Fork Farmers Market, you will receive one dollar in credit you can use for more great food, seeds, and plants at the market. SFMNP vouchers must first be used at the market at participating farmers’ booths, then you will receive a matching credit at the market manager’s booth that you can use to shop at the market location or to pay for a preorder you place online. SNAP participants may preorder on the market website or shop at the market location and pay with an EBT card at the market manager’s booth to receive a matching credit. And more great news—the matching funds may be used to pay the online market surcharge, so it won’t cost you anything to order ahead. Please take advantage of this great program to extend your benefits and receive more delicious, healthy food for your SNAP and SFMNP dollars!

Go ahead and place your order from now until Monday at midnight, then pick up and pay on Wednesday between 4 and 7 pm in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books, 205 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville. If you don’t get a chance to place an order, come on by the market on Wednesday to buy directly from the farmers’ tables.

We’ll see you then.
