Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

NEW—Check out Dandelion Peace Flower’s mint soap, herbal deodorant, and body oils. You will love these wonderful additions to their locally crafted, natural bath and body care products. Don’t miss Blue Pony Bakery’s cowgirl cookies and olive oil rosemary bread and all their other delicious goodies. Some are gluten-free, everything is made fresh to order, and it’s all delicious!

If you haven’t yet, you also need to try Figgieville’s amazing olives and olive oil. These are so fresh, you won’t believe the taste. Figgieville gets them directly from their partner farm in California where the olives are grown organically. The olives are brined rather than cured with lye, and the olive oil is cold-pressed and VERY fresh. This is top-notch stuff. Figgieville also makes a gluten-free almond torte that we thought could not be improved, but after tasting their pecan torte, it’s a struggle to choose a favorite!

Beyond Organics still has winter greens this week. Also available for preorder—honey, eggs, microgreens, chicken and pork. We hope to have spring greens coming on soon, and next week Black Sheep Ranch will join our market with lamb. Green Fork Farm will also offer beef.

Go ahead and place your order between now and Monday at midnight, then you can pick up and pay for your order on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Breezeway at Nightbird Books, 205 W. Dickson St. Remember the best selection is available if you preorder, but you can also buy from the farmers’ tables at the market, indoors out of the wind and cold.

Thanks to all of you who visited us at the Dig In! Food and Farming Festival this weekend and helped make it such a big success. We were excited to see you there and really appreciate your support of the market and of the festival!

See you on Wednesday.
